A word of thanks

To each one of you, thank you for your ongoing support, loyalty, feedback and wonderful referrals. They are greatly appreciated.

The year that has passed

For some of you, the year that has past has been a tough one, faced with many challenges. Don’t despair; the stumbling blocks were there for good reason; the reason may not be clear right now, but in time you will see things through changed eyes – a wiser perspective. Look for anything positive you may have gained through these hardships, it may not be easy, but there is always something positive, and in time it will become apparent.

A reminder to give to others

During this time of year we are normally bombarded with requests to donate money or gifts to those in need. Sometimes, however, we don’t feel like we have enough even for ourselves. About two years ago I decided to subscribe to the concept of the “R10 Turnaround”, which involves being aware of people around you that may need a little miracle in their lives. You may notice this person while at the shops or while driving in your car. They may be wearing a blue overall, or just torn clothes or somehow just appear to be in need. To take R10 out of your wallet or purse, walk up to them and hand them this money with no more explanation than a smile and your best wishes, is just the MOST rewarding experience. In most cases they look so surprised at your gesture, and amazed by your generous act of kindness. Helping others is a truly rewarding gift – it is so much more touching and memorable to give to them than to think of ourselves.

A safe journey

If you are going away
please travel safely. Stop along the way if you are tired, and consider travelling during times of day when the traffic is lighter.

A healthy holiday…

The holiday season is a lovely time to catch up on some sleep, have fun with your family members, read a good book, and just have some good relaxation. It is also a great opportunity to do some fun sports, try something new and eat some healthy meals. I am not suggesting that you shouldn’t enjoy some “fun foods”, but remember that the better your meal choice and holiday activities, the happier you will be. It’s much easier than you may think, and far more enjoyable. Remember that you can convince yourself of anything – whether it is that you deserve the “bad stuff”, or that you deserve what is good for your health. Moderation, and understanding what is really important for you, is key. Imagine coming back from your holiday with more energy, an improved body and a new outlook on life! What a brilliant way to start 2011.

A new perspective for next year…

What are you settling for in your life? What are you being told? What do you believe?
If you believe that what you deserve is minimal, then chances are you won’t find the amazing life you are meant to live. If you believe you deserve great things you will look until you find them, and you won’t settle for anything less than what you know you are totally worthy of in your life.

Now is the time to make valuable changes in your life in pursuit of your happiness. You deserve to be happy! Don’t underestimate the value of your happiness.
